Safe and secure long-term storage is a key element of successful cryopreservation. The usefulness and viability of frozen eggs can be limited if they have not been stored under the proper delicate conditions that must be maintained over many years.
Extend Fertility ensures the safety and security of our clients’ eggs by maintaining a central infrastructure designed to manage the handling and long-term storage of frozen eggs. Our storage facility provides the highest quality containment tanks, stringent controls, enhanced security, fault-tolerant storage, controlled access, constant monitoring and fail-safe backup systems. The state-of-the-art facility is under 24-hour security and surveillance and is protected from power failures by a 6,000 gallon gravity fed liquid nitrogen tank and backup generators. To ensure that all samples are easily located and accurately identified, all Extend Fertility client materials are bar-coded and specially labeled using a triple-check patient identification system. |
